A PAWSOME DAY WITH PLENTY OF NORTHERN FUN!
So, first off let me tell you about the dog that groom Tony didn't even originally want. Say hi to Amber a Rottie lab cross that 100% was the star of the show. Okay now I've got the dog out of the way let me tell you about the couple themselves! Tony & Amy are bloody awesome, low key chill northern couple, and their wedding reflected them perfectly. I started off in the Crown and Mitre hotel with the girls, there was a few tears as Amy opened gifts from her grandad. It even got to me a little!
Then I dashed to the pub with the boys for a quick pint. Plus they had the dog and I was pining to give it a petting. after a swift one I followed them through a very busy city centre to the start greeting guests. The ceremony was short and sweet... Amy Practically jumped for joy when they were pronounced husband and wife (see the banner, it was cute as hell) then back off to the pub drink as a married couple (woohoo!)
Reception was in the local music venue The Old Fire Station which has some pretty cool grafiti round the back that we could work with for portraits. Food was well catered for by Alan from Com-for-t Street Eats. There was more than enough cake to feed a small army!!
After food we took a quick jaunt through Carlisle City Centre and through Bits Park for some more traditional shots in the sunshine, thank god for a nice bit of low winter sunshine! After our walk we were all super ravenous - que the bride doing one of the most northern things i've ever seen - handing out CHEESE XL (Cumbrian Classic) to us and the guests. Followed by slicing up the cutest Colin Caterpillar cakes from M&S and to top it all off, the cherry on the northern cake we had a good old fashion chippy van on the night.
Honestly I was more then well fed on this day.
