A Brazilian-Infused Celebration in Somerset: Camile & Alex’s Colorful home WeddinG

Holly and Louis’ wedding in London was a day filled with plenty of pink hair, lots of laid-back energy and plenty of walking! We started off at The Buxton on Brick Lane, where Holly and Louis got ready together (I opted for this on my own wedding day, too! So I am a big fan!) Holly wore the most stunning silver dress from The Vampire’s Wife, which looked incredible alongside her pink hair. The Buxton was the perfect space for Holly and Louis to ease into the day, surrounded by the buzz of one of London’s most eclectic areas. We briefly walked up Brick Lane when we left for their ceremony, and I enjoyed getting some dynamic street photography images that showed off the city.

Their wedding ceremony took place at St Lawrence Jewry, a beautiful and historic church in the heart of London. The church’s amazing gothic architecture provided a really cool backdrop for Holly and Louis, who were determined to keep their day personal and relaxed. The intimate and lighthearted ceremony focused on what truly mattered to them. There was no pressure to conform to the traditional wedding expectations; instead, Holly and Louis were simply themselves, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

After the ceremony, they walked out into the streets of London, ready to embrace the next chapter of their day. But instead of confetti, Holly and Louis decided on bubbles, adding a playful and fun touch to the day. With bubbles floating in the air (and plenty spilt on the floor!), they made their way to London Bridge, enjoying the warm summer day and the stunning views of Tower Bridge in the distance. As with any great adventure, there was a small challenge ahead as a pregnant Holly's desire for an iced latte turned into a bit of a London Pret scavenger hunt. After stopping at three different Pret locations with no luck due to a seemingly city-wide ice shortage, they finally managed to find a café that could provide the much-needed Iced drink. Holly celebrated the victory with a cheerful “Hurrah!” to me through the window - as I was wanting one too!

From there, we all headed to Swift Bar in Borough to join their guests for a celebratory drink. The bar’s relaxed vibe was the perfect way to unwind after their walking tour of London. With drinks in hand and everyone gathered around, we enjoyed plenty of cake and cocktails! Holly’s silver dress shimmered under the lights, and everyone enjoyed a really laid-back and really personal afternoon, a reflection of Holly and Louis’ easy-going approach to their wedding.

Their London wedding wasn’t about perfection; it was about enjoying the moments for what they were, the city and the people they love. and, of course, it helps to have a cool dress, a bit of pink hair, and a willingness to hunt down an iced coffee at all costs!

Enjoy,
