Super Relaxed home wedding at new House Farm
George and Josh’s wedding at New House Farm wasn’t your typical venue wedding – for Josh, it was a trip down memory lane since he actually grew up there. New House Farm, run by his mum, Hazel, has always been home, and George and Josh wanted their wedding to feel like a true celebration of that.
The day started just down the road, where George and Josh got ready together in a nearby house – calm and no-fuss before the main event. From there, they headed back to New House Farm to meet up with Hazel and their dogs, finishing up those last-minute details. Josh even managed to rip his wedding trousers before the ceremony, but luckily, Hazel came to the rescue with her sewing kit. Apparently, she’s a pro at this by now – she’s sewn up split trousers for none other than Robbie Williams!
The ceremony took place in the Hayloft, with its rustic beams and soft lighting setting the scene as they exchanged vows. It was relaxed, personal, and perfectly them. Afterwards, guests followed them up to the lake for a champagne reception with a view overlooking the farm. The weather held up beautifully allowing everyone to enjoy the countryside backdrop to celebrate with plenty, and I mean plenty of Champagne!
Dinner and speeches were back in the barn, which was filled with all the laughter, some tears, and a lot of good stories. Everyone made the most of the cozy, laid-back atmosphere that I always enjoy when shooting at New House Farm. And once dinner was over, we headed back out onto the terrace, where a saxophonist got the party going. As the sun went down, everyone moved back into the barn to keep dancing late into the night.
George and Josh adamantly wanted a day that felt true to them and their history with New House Farm. Surrounded by love from family and friends in the place Josh grew up! To let go of the formality of it all and fully appreciate the joy of having all their friends and family together in their favourite place.
Enjoy,
