Beautiful Cheshire barn wedding venue

Scarlet Hall is 12 acres of beautifully lawned exclusive access private estate. Weddings here have a unique and perfectly private setting for their wedding, whether that's a small and intimate ceremony or a wedding day for a larger crowd! Scarlet hall is a fantastic self-catering wedding venue with softly styled interiors for wedding prep, a rustic barn for your wedding breakfast and late-night dancing, as well as extensive grounds for a variety of beautiful wedding photos. Scarlet hall is one of my favourite Cheshire Wedding venues.

Ben and Franci (who let me call her the wrong name all day like the most wonderfully British person ever) had the most stunning wedding day at Scarlet Hall. They enjoyed an outdoor ceremony with all their friends and family, followed by lawned reception with games, then made good use of Scarlet Hall's barn for dinner and dancing fuled by cocktails and laughter.

Carefully hand picked wedding suppliers

Franci was not only the bride but the jeweller for her wedding day! Owner of Anuka jewellery, she handmade her engagement ring (Ben proposed with a diamond knowing she would want to do this), wedding rings, earrings, and Ben's cufflinks. The only item she didn't make on the day was her Gran's Heirloom sapphire ring. Franci and Ben were incredibly organised (ex-military kicking in); everything ran incredibly smoothly, with the bar supplied by Shrub Chester being particularly impeccable. The boys behind the bar were undoubtedly on a mission to get everyone well and truly DRUNK (mission accomplished btw). The cocktails consisted of old-fashioneds, margaritas and plenty of espresso martinis, and I don't think anyone was ever without one in their hand! I'll leave a list of full suppliers at the end of the blog for anyone looking to nosey further.

Earthy outdoor wedding ceremony

Ben and Franci had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Scarlet Hall, with a fantastic metal archway at the end of the aisle where they took their wedding vows. Their guests even enjoyed a spot of sun on the lawn as they watched the newlyweds enjoy their first kiss. After the wedding ceremony, Scarlet Hall provided the perfect backdrop to their confetti run. We then took off into the field at the back of Scarlet hall for a few photos in the long grass before the heavens opened, and we dashed back for cocktails with guests in the wedding barn.

Cheshire barn wedding reception

The Barn at Scarlet hall is so dramatically lit, it is perfect for providing intense lighting that makes photos look like paintings! As well as this, there's the bonus of an elevated viewpoint overlooking the entire barn. The perfect place to get a wide sweeping shot of the newlyweds entering the dining room, their guests raising their glasses during speeches or giggling at a good roast (which there was plenty of at Ben and Franci's day). They had delicious food provided by Cheeky Chilli events, and as always, my couples are flipping ace and included me - so vouch for the fact that it tastes as good as it looks!

Wedding cake, pizza, cocktails and dancing at Scarlet Hall

After their wedding dinner, the tables and chairs were cleared with a helping hand from guests, and the floor was swept by the worlds most helpful flower girl! After the dining room was cleared we moved onto the cake cutting (with a sword!), which had been handmade then decorated with some help from the bridesmaids. My favourite way to capture cutting wedding cake is with all the guests gathered around behind you watching on; this way, you can capture so much more in the photo than just a picture of you both stood awkwardly cutting a cake! After the cake cutting, the bar staff kicked the cocktails up a notch. I think they said to me at one point their goal was to get the wedding guests "LOOSE", they were so much fun and certainly succeeded. I don't think I ever saw a queue for the bar or anyone without a drink in their hands! After the band struck up, there was no stopping people dancing! Then after a drink and a dance, there was nothing left to do but tuck into a big slice of post-wedding pizza.

I loved this wedding at Scarlet Hall in Cheshire, and I can't wait to return!
