Picture perfect art gallery wedding in London

Dulwich Picture Gallery was the first purpose-built public art gallery in the UK ever to open to the public and remains one of Britain's most valued artistic and architectural treasures. Dulwich is a beautiful, affluent and picturesque village-like neighbourhood within London. It's gorgeous and a fantastic place to host a wedding day! Dulwich Picture gallery owns one of the finest collections of Old Master paintings in the world, its especially rich in French, Italian and Spanish Baroque paintings and in British portraits from Tudor times to the 19th century. Famous works include Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Poussin, Watteau, Canaletto, Rubens, Veronese, and Murillo. Amongst these works of art is a truly fantastic place to share your wedding dinner with your guests.

David and Ailsa shared their wedding day at Dulwich Picture Gallery with friends and family from all over the UK. Their Scottish heritage combined with Ailsa's modern approach to bridal and the old world art gallery made their wedding the perfect mix of fun and cool.

Dulwich Picture Gallery wedding day

After bridal prep at Ailsa's parents, we caught a wedding Taxi's over to Dulwich Picture gallery. I've honestly never seen a wedding venue quite like it where you can enjoy a small intimate wedding dinner surrounded by such miraculous works of art. The Sloan gallery itself is stunning and the perfect setting for a creative wedding day. Dulwich village also provided the ideal leafy backdrop, making this city wedding feel anything but. After dinner, we danced well into the night with kilts akimbo while the band played. Enjoy this Dulwich Picture gallery wedding set. Suppliers are listed at the bottom of the page.
