A unique barn/ log cabin wedding venue, set in a beautiful riverside location in Cumbria
I absolutely love photographing weddings at the Hidden River Barn. The venue is perfect for couples looking for an unusual place to say I do, set back on a private estate within secluded Cumbrian countryside close to the Lake District. Ancient woodland, teeming with wildlife, surrounds the barn, and a network of paths hugging the miles of privately owned riverbank make for perfect wedding photographs.
Hidden River Cabins is perfect for large and small weddings, perfectly set for elopements in just the log cabins or great big parties in the barn. Photographing either is a complete joy and every single I photograph a wedding there, I stumble across something picturesque that I've never noticed before. Hidden River Barn and its surroundings are perfect for wedding photographs any time of year. There are carpets of Bluebells in the spring. In summer, you could be half a world away as the light glistens off the river and the sunsets over the cabins. In autumn, hidden river cabins have a distinctly Americana feel, with trees in all shades of orange and brown. And for winter, what better place to be than surrounded by fairy lights next to a roaring fire!

In the Hidden River Barn a huge picture window and crackling open log fires make the first floor looking out across the nature filled woodlands the perfect place to walk down the aisle. Dimmable lights and plenty of chandeliers help provide plenty of ambiance for not only your ceremony but your wedding meal too. Enjoy an outdoor ceremony overlooking the river or an amazing place to have a low-key celebration with a barbecue after; the venue truly allows for you to have your wedding your way. There's nothing better than being able to bring your four-legged friend to your wedding, and there's nothing I love more than petting pups between photos! Hidden river cabins are a perfect spot for a dog-friendly wedding. Not only are they welcome all across the venue, but there's plenty of walking opportunities to help tire them out before and during the day; a walk around the ground with your dog makes for some brilliant wedding photos..
