Relaxed Wedding at The Den at Four Acre
The Den at Four Acres is set between the landscapes of the Lake District and the Solway Coast! It's a really relaxed setting for a festival-style wedding. Louise and James made the most of this unique venue for their summer wedding, embracing its laid-back vibe and filling the day with fun from lawn games, plenty of day drinking in the sunshine and family-style dining that celebrated everything they love most.
A Beautiful Outdoor Ceremony in the Heart of Cumbria
Louise and James chose to have their ceremony outdoors; with the sun beaming down, it could not have been a more perfect way to start their marriage! They opted for a celebrant-led ceremony, making it all feel deeply personal before heading into the rest of their celebrations.
Drinks, Lawn Games & Festival-Style Fun
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception on the lawn, complete with lawn games that brought out everyone's playful side. From ring toss to giant Jenga, there were plenty of fun reaction moments with these activities!
A Smoky BBQ Feast & a Taste of Cumbria
For dinner, Louise and James went with a relaxed BBQ-style feast, perfectly suited to the laid-back vibe of their day. The spread included local salmon, smoked lamb, and a range of seasonal sides that offered guests a real taste of Cumbrian flavours. Myself included.
Dancing the Night Away to a Traditional Ceilidh
As Carlisle is so close to Scotland, it's not unusual to see a dancefloor with a Ceilidh, and I'm a big fan of photographing them as they're so full of action. These bands make the most of all. Friends and family gathered together, laughing and spinning through the lively dances that bring everyone onto their feet. It's such a fun way to end a super laid-back day
Enjoy,
